ASIS GmbH, an expert in automated surface technology, is laying the groundwork for an orderly succession plan: Effective July 9, Alexander Schmunk will assume the position of Chief Executive Officer. The current CEO, company founder, and owner Hans-Jürgen Multhammer will step back into a supporting role but will remain on the executive board—serving as a valuable sparring partner with his experience and strategic vision.
This leadership transition marks a clearly structured generational handover. The new leadership structure reinforces the long-term direction of the growing company and signals continuity and future viability.
Alexander Schmunk has achieved an unprecedented career progression at ASIS. Since joining the company in 2007, he has held key positions across various business units. His career began in electrical design, leading him through software and project management both domestically and internationally to technical sales, where he later took over as head of the division. In 2023, he was appointed to the Executive Board as CSO and, most recently, served as COO, overseeing operations and strategic business development.
