Delivery of a new paint shop at the Daimler AG Mettingen plant

At the Daimler plant in Untertürkheim, Mettingen Stuttgart plant section, a new paint shop with two booths each equipped with 3 painting robots was installed. Here, axle units of various current model types are painted fully automatically.

The plant components of the process engineering and booth technology were supplied by STURM.

With its long experience in the field of surface technology, ASIS was able to cover the following areas:

• Electrical engineering of all plant technologies, such as process engineering, material supply and application technology
• Engineering of robotics, application technology and material supply
• Electrical and mechanical installation
• Commissioning of the process technology, material supply and the robot-supported application technology, as well as the common interfaces
• Creation and running-in of the painting programs
• Training of plant operators and maintenance personnel
• Start-up support
