The RobPainter is the “big brother” of the LabPainter. It is used in pilot plants wherever, in addition to the classic application of color panels, complex three-dimensional parts such as plastic bumpers are to be coated with various atomizers in close proximity to the application. The process can also be simulated – coating web by coating web.

Similar to the LabPainter, the RobPainter also has an atomizer quick-change system. This system can be automated if desired, so that within less than 90 seconds an atomizer can be rinsed, discarded and a new atomizer picked up by the RobPainter and pressed on with paint. All atomizers commercially available in the automotive and supplier industry can be adapted to the quick-change system and used with the RobPainter.

The application of water-based and solvent-based paints is easily possible with the RobPainter. A color change block on the quick change system can further accelerate the color change times in the atomizer. An optional 2K block allows the operation of atomizers with 2K inline mixing.

The RobPainter is operated via a graphical visualization on a control PC. Different users can log in, depending on the authorization level, for example, only for applying or for teaching new application programs. Fixed motion programs allow users without knowledge of robot teaching to create application programs. Users with knowledge of teaching Yaskawa robots can create complex motion programs and save them in libraries, making them available to other users. All changes to the programs as well as to parameters during the application are saved on the system in accordance with the GxP standards.
