With the FPX – Fingerprint Expert, ASIS introduces a robot-guided measuring system for laboratory use that enables fully automated, objective, and reproducible evaluation of painted or foiled test panels.

This system bridges the gap between laboratory testing and end-of-line quality assurance, perfectly complementing the proven Surface-Detect color measurement cells for series production.

The FPX measurement table is designed for paint manufacturers, automotive OEMs, and suppliers with the highest demands on quality control.

• Automatic retrieval of up to 25 test panels from a magazine
• Vacuum fixation for stable measuring conditions
• Multi-point measurement with an industrial robot and interchangeable handheld measuring devices
• Measurement of color, texture, layer thickness, and cloudiness with maximum accuracy
• Barcode-based measurement program recognition for fast, error-free test procedures

Identical measurement technology as in production

FPX uses compact handheld measuring devices identical in design to the sensors in Surface-Detect systems. This ensures a high correlation of results between laboratory and production environments – enabling lab data to be reliably transferred to the series process.
