ASIS built two powder coating booths for household appliances for a well-known customer in the U.S. Even during the preliminary construction phase, it is clear how the system is designed for efficient coating processes, easy access, and short changeover times.
The overhead robots provide particularly good access to the interior areas of the workpieces. This allows even complex geometries to be coated reliably—an important factor for consistent surface quality and stable processes.
Excess powder is recovered via the booth floor and filter carts and reintroduced into the coating cycle. This reduces material loss and supports cost-effective plant operation.
Another advantage is the quick powder change: Instead of replacing individual filters, the entire filter cart can be swapped out. This gets the system back up and running faster and reduces downtime.
The project demonstrates how ASIS combines powder coating, robotics, and system design into an efficient overall solution—engineered for quality, process reliability, and cost-effective operation in series production.
