World’s leading trade fair for industrial painting technology
26. – 29. April 2022, Messe Karlsruhe,
ASIS: Halle 1, Stand 1418
For ASIS GmbH, PaintExpo is all about its claim Connecting Technology and People. “We are looking forward to real people-to-people communication with our customers and partners and are excited about the new developments in the industry,” says CEO Hans-Jürgen Multhammer. The Landshut-based system provider for automated plant technology will be showcasing the complete range of its broad portfolio in surface technology at its new stand location.
New ASIS product catalog
An overview of the product range is shown in the newly created ASIS product catalog. In addition to paint application, all available products in the areas of automatic finishing, automatic sanding, atomizer cleaning, flame treatment and software are listed in structured detail. The special feature here is the unique modularity and sustainability. For each ASIS product, it was taken into account in the design that wear parts can be replaced in a maintenance-friendly way.
The new product catalog and spare parts distribution system are now even better structured, so that ASIS customers can be supplied with original spare parts in the shortest possible time. The products can be individually configured with just a few components. Essential parts such as basic bodies remain identical. This ensures high flexibility and low costs.
Core competence control technology
In addition, ASIS remains the first point of contact for demanding control topics and is happy to pass on practical information and process experience to anyone interested. The focus here is particularly on automatic finishing and automatic patch sealing.
The automatic finish developed by ASIS is a fully automated finishing process for the inspection and elimination of defects on both cathodic dip painting and clear coat surfaces. The system has been successfully integrated into series operation at an OEM, and further projects are in the pipeline.
Patch sealing involves closing openings in the vehicle body for corrosion protection. This is done with a special applicator that seals the openings with adhesive pads. Here, too, ASIS is currently looking back on a project that integrated the technology into the series production of a well-known sports car manufacturer.
Automatic finishing, as well as patch sealing, are both processes in the coating of vehicle bodies that have not yet been automated. Both solutions reduce the workload of line personnel and increase the quality and efficiency of production through the use of repeatable industrial robots.
