Cleaning Processes Reimagined

ASIS implemented a blade brush system for body cleaning for a German OEM in the light commercial vehicle sector. The system is designed to reliably prepare the surface prior to the painting process—a crucial step for achieving a high-quality and durable paint finish.

 

 

Pre-assembly and commissioning took place at the ASIS branch in Oldenburg. This allowed key system functions to be tested in advance and customer-specific requirements to be implemented early on. The system utilizes a modern brush system with twin linear brushes, enabling precise and process-reliable cleaning of the vehicle body.

The complete system control, including sensors, visualization, and safety architecture, was implemented by ASIS and seamlessly integrated into the line logic. This creates a continuous process that reliably combines cleaning technology, control, and system integration.

A particular advantage was the virtual validation. Cycle time, layout, and immersion depths could be simulated and fine-tuned in advance. This provides planning certainty, reduces risks during commissioning, and supports a smooth start-up at the production site.

The project demonstrates how ASIS takes a holistic approach to cleaning processes in automotive production—from mechanical applications and control technology to virtual validation.
